TV5 Says Paolo Bediones Won’t Be Fired Because Of His Video

Paolo Bediones will not be fired after a video that allegedly shows the anchor and an unidentified woman–not his former girlfriend Abby Cruz–having sex.

The video is being vastly circulated online after popping up over the weekend.

“The recent issue involving our news anchor, Paolo Bediones, on social media is a purely personal and private matter in which TV5 has no involvement or desire to intrude,” TV5 said in the statement.

“We accord our employees and talents all respect that are due them for their privacy and personal action or decision. We disapprove strongly the malicious and wanton publication of the video, an act that clearly violates pertinent cybercrime laws. We firmly express our support for our anchor Paolo Bediones in the face of a controversy that represents nothing more than an attempt to smear his reputation.”

Bediones, 40, a former GMA anchor, hasn’t publicly responded to the video as of yet. Bediones currently helms several shows, including Aksyon Tonite and Rescue5.

The woman in the Bediones video hasn’t been identified, but many are saying that it’s not Bediones’ former girlfriend and beauty queen Abby Cruz.

At the same time, some are saying that China Roces, a 22-year-old model and actress–is the woman in the video.

Some blogs are saying the video was made years ago, because Bediones looks so young in the video.

Nuclear will strike White House warning from North Korea

Nuclear will strike White House warning from North Korea
source: www.yahoo.com
Seoul (AFP) - A top-ranking North Korean military official has threatened a nuclear strike on the White House and Pentagon after accusing Washington of raising military tensions on the Korean peninsula.

The threat came from Hwang Pyong-So, director of the military's General Political Bureau, during a speech to a large military rally in Pyongyang Sunday on the anniversary of the armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War.

Hwang, who holds the rank of vice marshal in the Korean People's Army, said a recent series of South Korea-US military drills, one of which included the deployment of a nuclear-powered US aircraft carrier, had ramped up tensions.

"If the US imperialists threaten our sovereignty and survival... our troops will fire our nuclear-armed rockets at the White House and the Pentagon -- the sources of all evil," Hwang said in his speech broadcast Monday on state television.

It is not the first time that North Korea's bellicose rhetoric has included threats of nuclear strikes on the continental United States and US bases in the Pacific.

But most experts believe it is still a long way from developing a viable intercontinental ballistic missile with the required range.

The North has conducted three nuclear tests, but is not thought to have mastered the miniaturisation techniques necessary for mounting a warhead on a missile.

It does possess a range of short-and mid-range missiles capable of striking South Korea and Japan, and has conducted a series of test firings into the Sea of Japan (East Sea) in recent weeks.

The latest test on Saturday -- guided by the leader Kim Jong-Un -- simulated a short-range missile strike on South Korea where 28,500 US troops are stationed, the North's state media said.

It defied censure by the UN Security Council which officially condemned Pyongyang on July 17 over the recent tests as violations of UN resolutions prohibiting the North from using ballistic missile technology.

Commonwealth Games Gold winner the Royal Marine

It was a great night for the Senior Service in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with Marine Chris Sherrington picking up the gold medal in the heavyweight judo event. To cap off a great night Lt Cdr Mark Shaw picked up the bronze in the same event.

There was confusion when Sherrington’s score initially was initially given to his opponent Ruan Snyman of South Africa, but he was in no doubt of his victory letting out a loud cheer as a section of Royal Marines in the crowd shouted “go Royals”.

After collecting his gold he stepped off the podium and reached into his jacket to get his green lid bringing more cheers from an appreciative crowd. As one of the most popular competitors on the circuit he was mobbed by fans for autographs and photographs.

When asked about the fight in typically understated style he just said “I think I might feel that in the morning”

Family Dollar in a cheap Price?

Dollar Tree is buying rival discount retailer Family Dollar Stores in a cash-and-stock deal valued at about $8.5 billion. Activist investor Carl Icahn has a big stake in Family Dollar, as does billionaire Nelson Peltz.

Family Dollar stock soared in premarket trading Monday—even shooting up above the generous 23 percent premium to where shares closed on Friday.

Under terms of the deal, stockholders of Family Dollar will receive $59.60 in cash and the equivalent of $14.90 in shares of Dollar Tree for each share they own. The companies put the value of the transaction at $74.50 per share.

Family Dollar stock, which closed Friday at $60.66 a share, spiked nearly 25 percent in premarket trading.Shares of Dollar Tree were up almost 12 percent.

The action in both stocks indicate that the price tag for the deal might be too low, said Jan Kniffen, chief executive officer of J. Rogers Kniffen Worldwide—a retailing research and consulting firm.

Dollar Tree said the combined company would have more than 13,000 stores in 48 states and Canada, with sales of over $18 billion.

The press release made no mention of store closings, but Telsey Advisory retail analyst Joe Feldman sees that as a probability. "You would think that they will close some stores. There's a pretty large overlap with the store bases. Not quite as much if Family Dollar and Dollar General had merged."

Feldman said the deal would "raise some eyebrows" at Wal-Mart, which does about $300 billion in U.S. sales. "It does pick off that low-end customer ... [while] Wal-Mart is trying to go smaller but not with a dollar store concept. They are trying to go smaller grocery more."

Roces Roces profile and background

China Roces is the name of the girl being linked to Paolo Bediones sex scandal video that had gone viral on social media sites.

China Roces is just a screen name.

In an interview with popular men's magazine FHM, where she became a "100% Hottie" for the month of June 2014, the actress-model said she "was supposed to be a part of a girl group called Street Beauties."

China revealed that her name is based on a famous street in Metro Manila, believed to be Chino Roces Avenue in Makati.

The Street Beauties, she added, was supposed to make a self-titled movie but the project did not push through. Even if the planned movie was shelved, she retained her name as it was "catchy".

Paolo Bediones Video Went Viral in Philippines also Worldwide
The alleged Paolo Bediones VideofromPhilippines which was first leaked in a free file and image hosting web site with a file name of 'Cartoons.mp4' lasts for 6 minutes and 43 seconds and it was allegedly taken by the guy on the video with a sexy starlet. The video is now going viral and the surge of searches regarding that video is spiking on internet.

Paolo's sexual preference has been questioned for years but he keeps mum on who is he seeing. Instead of being irked, Paolo decided to just let everyone have the freedom to talk about it. And, eventually the issue died a natural death.

Paolo started his career as a commercial model, and later transitioned to television show hosting. He is best known for hosting GMA Network’s "Extra Challenge" and Survivor Philippines" before he transfered to TV5 as a TV host and newscaster in December 2009.

It's still not confirmed, and of course, only Paolo and the sexy starlet can confirm it, but everyone is still hoping that it's not Paolo. Hopefully

It’s very important to note that whoever uploaded the sex video on MediaShare and shared the download link on social media sites are violating Republic Act 9995 or the Cybercrime Law which states:

The act of “taking photo or video coverage of a person or group of persons performing sexual act or any similar activity or of capturing an image of the private area of a person or persons without the latter’s consent, under circumstances in which such person/s has/have a reasonable expectation of privacy, or the act of selling, copying, reproducing, broadcasting, sharing, showing or exhibiting the photo or video coverage or recordings of such sexual act or similar activity through VCD/DVD, internet, cellular phones and similar means or device without the written consent of the person/s involved, notwithstanding that consent to record or take photo or video coverage of same was given by such person/s.

Meaning those people who uploaded and even shared the download link of the said video scandal may be prosecuted in full extent of the law.

As of this posting, Paolo Bediones is yet to give an official statement regarding the issue.

River In China Mysteriously Turns Bloody Red

A waterway in eastern China has mysteriously turned a blood red color.

The residents of Wenzhou, China, woke up last Thursday to discover that the inner city river had turned bloody red. Everyone is puzzled, as this has never happened before and nobody knows the cause yet. China Radio International reports:

“The really weird thing is that we have been able to catch fish because the water is normally so clear,” one local villager commented on China’s microblogging site Weibo.

Inspectors from the Wenzhou Environmental Protection Bureau said they have not found the cause of the incident, although water samples seem to indicate the suspicious color was a result of illegal dumping in the river.

“We suspect that somebody dumped artificial coloring in the water because he thought the typhoon yesterday would cause heavy rain, and nobody would notice [the color],” Jianfeng Xiao, Chief of the bureau told China News.

“It turned out there wasn’t heavy rainfall yesterday, so the evidence is left behind,” Xiao said.

Xiao said there is a paper manufacturer, a food coloring company and clothing-maker a long the river. The bureau is still investigating the incident.

Philippine Arena Owned By Iglesia ni Cristo

The problem its like an strategy to promote? and not Arena, why? because the stadium is not in the center . can you imagine Boxing if the stage not located in the midle?

As a prelude to its 100th anniversary next week, the influential Iglesia ni Cristo formally opened its Philippine Arena, with an estimated 50,000 INC members attending the unveiling of the marker at the multi-purpose complex.

INC Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, together with President Benigno Aquino III and Vice President Jejomar Binay, led the ceremony at the more than 50-hectare Ciudad de Victoria

The construction of the Philippine Arena, which allegedly cost more than $200 million with its own exit at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx), is said to be able to withstand an 8-magnitude earthquake.

Aquino presided over the opening on Monday of what is billed as the world's largest indoor stadium, erected by a politically-influential religious sect.

The Philippine Arena, which can seat 55,000 people, was hailed as a showcase that will serve as a major venue for concerts and sports events as well as gatherings for its owners, the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ) sect.

"You have proved that the Filipino can reach great heights, that we can have achievements as lofty as any in the world," Aquino said in a speech to Iglesia members.

He hailed the 15-story structure as "the largest domed arena in the whole world," saying its capacity was "even double that of the Staples Center in Los Angeles," a major sporting and entertainment venue.

Ground-breaking was in July 2011 for the stadium, which has a floor area of about 99,000 square meters (1.065 million square feet) and a height of 62 meters, and the facility was formally completed this month.

Located in Bocaue town, just outside the capital, the arena's construction is just one of many events marking the centennial of the Iglesia ni Cristo on July 27.

The Christian sect also said the stadium will have a capacity about double that of other popular indoor arenas like New York's Madison Square Garden.

However the Singapore National Stadium, completed in June, also seats 55,000 people and has been hailed in the press as the world's largest domed structure.

The Iglesia ni Cristo sect wields considerable political influence in the Philippines as its members, believed to number about three million people, vote as a bloc for whoever their leaders endorse.

Thousands of people have marched through central London

- to call for an end to Israel's ground campaign and air strikes in Gaza.

Protesters marched from Downing Street to the Israeli embassy in Kensington. A police blockade stopped them from gaining access.

Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly and Hyde Park Corner were closed.

More than 300 Palestinians have been killed since 8 July, officials in Gaza report. Five Israelis have died.

Before the event up to 15,000 people were expected to attend. However, the police were not able to verify how many were there.

The event was organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and is part of a national day of action.

Labour MP Diane Abbott was among the speakers to address protesters as they gathered in Whitehall.

"I am here to show solidarity with the people in Gaza," she said.

"We call for an end to the occupation and justice for Palestinians."

Organisers repeatedly told the crowds to spread out during the speeches over fears people were being crushed.

Two children were pulled over a barrier close to the stage and one organiser said 10 people had fainted in the crowd.

Israel launched ground operations in Gaza following 10 days of air strikes, which failed to stop Hamas firing rockets across the border.

It says the ground operation is necessary to target a Hamas tunnel network, which the Israel military could not do only from the air.

A classified U.S. intelligence analysis says it is most likely that pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine fired the missile that downed Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, CNN has learned.

A U.S. defense official with direct access to the latest information detailed the analysis to CNN but declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the information.

The preliminary analysis concludes the missile was from a Russian-made Buk system, known as the SA-11 among NATO forces, the official said. U.S. military intelligence analysts concluded only the SA-11 or the SA-20 has the warhead, range and ability to shoot down an airliner, the official said.

The Ukrainians are not believed to have an SA-20 system, and there is no intelligence suggesting Russia ever transferred one across the border. However, U.S. intelligence has concluded that pro-Russian separatists have a Buk system. The official says it's unclear if the separatists captured it from Ukraine or Russia transferred it to them.

The U.S. military and intelligence community expect to have a more definitive assessment of what happened by the end of the weekend. "We want to put together a solid picture" on each element of the event, the official said.

That assessment is expected to remain classified for now, but will be shared among NATO nations, the official said. It may eventually be shared publicly to show what the United States believes happened.

"We cannot say with complete certainty, but we do not think the missile came from the Russian side of the border," the official said. "All the indications are it was fired from inside eastern Ukraine."

The initial assessment also suggests separatists thought they were shooting at a Ukrainian military transport plane.

Air Force Gen. Philip Breedlove, NATO's top military commander, who also is head of the U.S. European Command, is leading much of the U.S. military's technical intelligence effort looking at all satellite, radar and other intelligence data from the area.

He is coordinating with other NATO members and east European nations in the region scouring their radar and intelligence assets to see if there is specific data showing the event.

For now, the United States has some data that shows a missile launch system was turned on and operating in the area at the time of the plane's downing as well as separate data that shows a heat signature of a major event, believed to be the plane being shot down.

This Maybe The Culprit or Responsible In MH17 Plane Crash?

This Article Was Originaly Posted By CNN

What kind of weapon can shoot down a fully loaded passenger jet flying at nearly 33,000 feet?

That could be a key question in the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crash investigation, as officials try to determine what was responsible for Thursday's plane crash in volatile eastern Ukraine.

A radar system saw a surface-to-air missile system turn on and track an aircraft right before the plane went down, a senior U.S. official told CNN's Barbara Starr. And a second system saw a heat signature at the time the airliner was hit. The United States is analyzing the trajectory of the missile to pinpoint where the attack came from, the official said.

Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, said in a Facebook post that "terrorists" fired on the plane operating a Buk surface-to-air missile system.

A Ukrainian official also told CNN's Jim Sciutto on Thursday that separatists claimed to have brought down another plane around the same time Flight 17 went missing.

But what could have shot down the Malaysia Airlines flight?

Shoulder-fired missiles sometimes in the arsenals of rebel and separatists groups would be ruled out, experts said.

"At normal cruising altitude a civilian passenger aircraft would be out of the range of the sort of manned portable air (defense) systems that we have seen proliferate in rebel hands in east Ukraine," IHS Jane's Defence Weekly's Nick de Larrinaga said in an e-mail.

Such shoulder-mounted weapons at best can reach 15,000 feet, said CNN military analyst Rick Francona, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel.

"This would indicate a surface-to-air missile or an air-to-air missile, and I think a surface-to-air missile is probably the best guess right now," he said.

One candidate is the Buk missile system, developed during the Soviet era and operated by Russian and Ukrainian forces.

The missile system, known as the SA-11 among NATO forces, is operated by both Russian and Ukrainian forces, according to retired Brig. Gen. Kevin Ryan, director of the Defense and Intelligence Project at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University.

And it's more than capable of taking down an airliner flying at that altitude, he said.

Such weapons travel with Russian troops at the division level, Francona said.

"So the Russians on the other side of the Ukrainian border will have all of this weaponry available to them," he said.

Other possibilities include Russian-made S-200 missiles that are operated by the Ukrainian military as well as the Russian S-300 and S-400 missiles. The latter weapons are the Russian equivalent of U.S. Patriot missile defense batteries.

What seems unlikely is that pro-Russia separatists might have gained control of such a sophisticated piece of weaponry and used it to shoot down an airliner, Ryan said.

"It takes a lot of training and a lot of coordination to fire one of these and hit something," he said.

Typically, a surface-to-air battery missile consists of a command post vehicle, a radar vehicle, several self-propelled launchers, loader vehicles and even more vehicles to carry new missiles to the batteries as necessary, according to Dan Wasserbly, Americas editor for IHS Jane's.

Ryan concludes then that if the plane really was shot down, a professional military force -- either on purpose or by accident -- was responsible.

"This is not the kind of weapon a couple of guys are going to pull out of a garage and fire," he said.

Malaysia Airlines Flight Crashes in Ukraine Because of Missile?

Malaysia Airlines passenger jet crashed in eastern Ukraine on Thursday, prompting a Ukrainian official to say that the flight carrying 295 people had been "shot down."

"Terrorists" fired on the plane operating a Buk surface-to-air missile system, according to a Facebook post from Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.

The plane, a Boeing 777, went down near the town of Torez in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, according to the post, as it flew at about 10,000 meters (nearly 33,000 feet).

"We do not exclude that the plane was shot down and confirm that the Ukraine Armed Forces did not fire at any targets in the sky," Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said, according to his website.

He also said he has expressed condolences to Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte about Flight 17, which was headed from Amsterdam to Malaysia. He said he invites Dutch experts to participate in the investigation of the crash, emphasizing that he does not call it an "incident" or a "catastrophe," but a "terrorist action."

Details of the incident are quickly pouring in about Thursday's crash which comes the same week that Ukrainian officials said a Russian fighter shot down a Ukrainian military transport plane while the aircraft was in Ukrainian airspace.

As news broke of the crash, Malaysia Airlines confirmed in a tweet that it lost contact with Flight 17 and that the jet's last known position was over Ukrainian airspace.

CNN's Richard Quest, an aviation expert, said that it would be "extremely unusual" for an airliner at 32,000 feet to be shot down. From the ground, one could simply look up and tell whether a plane was a commercial aircraft.

"It looks like a commercial aircraft, it squawks a commercial aircraft. So something is absolutely appalling that's gone on here," he said.

Reports are still coming in about who may have been on board and where they're from.

But Laurent Fabius, France's Minister of Foreign Affairs, confirmed to CNN that there were at least four French victims on the plane.

FlightRadar24 showed the plane disappearing near Kremenchuk, Ukraine.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak tweeted that an investigation will be launched immediately. "I am shocked by reports that an MH plane crashed," he posted.

And Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk ordered that a government commission investigate the crash, a statement from his office said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin "expressed deep condolences" to Malaysia's Prime Minister over the crash, a post Thursday on the Kremlin's website said. He "asked to pass the most sincere word of condolences and support to families and relatives of (the crash) victims," the post said.

Near the end of a phone call Thursday morning with President Obama, Putin noted to the President the early reports of a downed passenger jet near the Russia-Ukraine border, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said.

Obama has directed his staff to be in touch with senior Ukrainian officials, Earnest said.

Later Thursday, Obama said the crash "looks like it may be a terrible tragedy" and he said efforts were underway to determine if any Americans were aboard.

Vice President Joe Biden, who is traveling in Detroit Thursday, talked on the phone with President Poroshenko, Earnest said, adding that Biden offered U.S. assistance to help determine why the crash occurred.

Nokia Lumia 630 review

Nokia Lumia 630 review

For someone using Microsoft Mango for the last few years, 8.1 is definitely an upgrade.  But there is nothing out of this world about the Lumia 630 dual sim that would have us bouncing off the walls. The best way to describe this phone would be by stretching the word meh into 500 more.

Camera

For those whose day begins and ends with a selfie, they will have to turn the phone turtle and use their imaginary photo grid instead. By doing away with the front camera, it seems like Nokia frowns on those caught up in the whirligig of duckface selfies. They have thus, in all probability, chose to deny millions of their right to master that perfect pout.

The remnants of this, probably, cost cutting measure is a no-frills 5MP camera that records at 720p quality.

Display and software

The Lumia 630 comes with a 4.5 IPS LCD screen supporting a resolution of 854 X 480 pixels. The screen is guarded by a coat of Gorilla Glass 3, but it heavily reflects smudges. Probably another coat would have saved us from the trouble of rubbing the screen like an Aladdin’s lamp.

The Windows 8.1 live tiles look, as always, fabulous and there is a new addition called the notification bar to the action centre. Another addition is the Word Flow feature that allows you to swipe rather than type a message.

Design

What are the chances of Lumia 630 knocking this out of the park? Zero. Zilch. Nada. Yes, the phone looks like any other Lumia.
The rear plastic flap is easy to remove; easier than peeling a banana. The speakers are at the bottom right and are covered by a pinhole on the flap. The phone’s power button lies right below the volume control. And Nokia ditched the capacitive buttons of the previous models for on-screen buttons.

Storage and Performance

The phone is equipped with an 8GB internal storage, and it can be extended up to 128GB.

It is powered by a 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 400 Quad Core. We did not experience any hiccups with the Lumia 630. Things ran smoothly despite the 512MB RAM and that is where Windows has been able to score over Android. However, for some inexplicable reason, the Lumia was not detecting the closest WiFi router in our building despite picking up the ones far away. The phone does not drain the battery quickly and it is good for a day of basic use.

Verdict

The 630 is a good addition to the Lumia stable despite the minor tweaks and improvements. It has its faults and the price bracket does not give it much room to appease the most demanding of customers. People nowadays want all features a designer could cram into a smartphone regardless of whether they use it or not. The 630 may have trimmed a lot
